Kieran Crowley is a musician specialising in live performance, session recording, composition and arrangement. He is a multi-instrumentalist who focuses particularly at the drum kit with great stylistic proficiency, having studied on the Jazz course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He is also an exponent of contemporary classical music at the piano, and plays on a regular basis with dedicated new music ensembles across London.

After graduating with first-class honours in Music from the University of York, Kieran has gone on to play with a number of ensembles, most recently with London-based new music ensemble Standard Issue at  venues including Cafe Oto, Barbican Classical Pride and as part of a series of 2024 concerts curated by Music We'd Like to Hear, with repertoire ranging from works by Kaija Saariaho, Michael Finnissy and Chiyoko Szlavnics. An indication of his eclecticism, he also played the drums for English pop-duo Wasia Project at the start of their 2024 UK tour.

As a composer and arranger, Kieran's work is varied and energetic. He achieved a Highly Commended award in the BBC Proms Inspire Senior Category for his piano and percussion piece Chaos and Desertion 2018, and premiered his piece for organ, Triptyque, as part of the 2022 Chimera Ensemble summer concerts at the University of York. Most recently he produced a pop arrangement of J.S. Bach's Toccata in D Minor for members of the English Chamber Orchestra.

Outside of musical aims, Kieran finds joy in food and wine, and currently works as a sommelier at Aspen & Meursault in Battersea, London. He also paints and produces ink mono-prints, taking keen interest in the relationship between sound and visuals and how one translates and weaves from one medium to the other.
